Management Team


The Ward Williams HR management team consists of a balanced and experienced set of individuals with complementary skills and well-matched personalities.

They share a wealth of practical business experience both in the large corporate and SME sectors, which allows them a real understanding of the challenges that their customers face and a true empathy with their customers long term needs.

The directors and partners have worked in the employment law and HR markets for many years and it is through their experiences, working closely with finance and HR departments, that they have identified an essential need for this service.

Sally Phillips

Managing Director

Prior to becoming Managing Director of Ward Williams HR Limited in 2007, Sally had been with Ward Williams Chartered Accountants since 1998 and became a senior manager in 2004.

Sally was responsible for the office management, marketing and human resources functions within the business. Sally demonstrates excellent communication skills, has a professional and proactive attitude along with a great sense of humour. Sally holds a CIPD affiliate membership, is currently studying employment law at CIPD and will hold the ACEL qualification in 2008.


Paul Flowerday

Recruitment Consultant

Paul is the Practice Manager for Ward Williams – the chartered accountancy practice associated with Ward Williams HR. Paul has worked at Ward Williams since 1995.

Aside from practice management, Paul has a varied portfolio of clients including business start ups, charities, housing associations and owner managed businesses – through to UK subsidiaries of international companies.

Paul’s knowledge, understanding and experience of the recruitment process and best practice is invaluable. Paul has a general understanding of employment law and how it impacts on the work of HR.


Jane Watford

Payroll Manager

Jane has been with Ward Williams since 2001 and has gained extensive knowledge since joining the payroll department. Jane has exceptional organisational skills and has vast experience of running payrolls accurately and on time, analysing payroll output for accuracy and meeting legislative requirements.

In addition Jane has experience of P11d and year end procedures.


Laura Jenkins

Hr Administrator

Laura is the HR senior administrator. Having recently completed her BSc she joined Ward Williams Chartered Accountants in the administration department.

When the exciting opportunity of joining the new Ward Williams HR team arose, it was an offer to good to turn down. Her main role within Ward Williams HR is supporting clients with all their administrative requirements. Her excellent organisation and time management skills ensure that clients’ affairs are processed quickly and efficiently and there is always a friendly voice at the end of the phone to deal with any issues that may arise.
